Station update

Well the gas pumps and the tanks are gone, the hole is being filled. Most of our “stuff” has been relocated and the rest is being priced for sale. The last 2 weeks have sure been different. Once I find my instruction on how to post pictures (or get new ones) I will post the “end of an era” in downtown Jacksonville.

Station/library

Last Wednesday the City made us an offer and we accepted, we ran out of gas Monday morning and will get no more. Paul does have a few appointments to finish up on and we will begin removing our stuff from the station. This “property” will be the site for Jacksonville’s new public library.

Interest in Station update

Well we found out the other day the City is not interested in our property for the new library site. We think it has to do with the factor of the other properties owners wanting too much money for their land more so than their disinterest in our property.

Flurry of activity

Last Friday our real estate agent called with an update on interest in our business, she had faxed info to 2 different agents and had a walk-in ask for info also. The walk-in visited us 3 days last week and is working on retaining financing.

Computers

Well the past 2 weeks have been an ongoing computer lesson. Started out with trying to link the U-haul computer to the main computer here at work, so phone line, email and online access was more efficient. First problem was finding a cross-over cable long enough to make the trip around the walls.
